The selection of the preferred proponent is expected by April 2027, marking a critical milestone in the development of the rail service. This proposed high-speed rail line would also feature connections to the international airports in Calgary and Edmonton, addressing the increasing demand for efficient and rapid transportation in a region that encompasses around 80 percent of Alberta’s population.
