Trump Hails $300 Billion Refinery Deal with Reliance as “America First” Victory

Date:

President Donald Trump has announced a “historic” $300 billion agreement to establish a new oil refinery in Brownsville, Texas. Developed by America First Refining, this project marks the first new refinery in the U.S. in 50 years. Trump praised the deal as a massive step toward achieving total energy independence and national security.
The U.S. has long relied on a network of existing refineries, but none have been built from the ground up in decades. The Trump administration has prioritized the production of oil and natural gas, and this new facility is the centerpiece of that effort. It is intended to process American resources for both domestic use and global sale.
In a social media post, Trump thanked Reliance Industries of India for its role as a primary investor in the project. He characterized the $300 billion deal as a monumental win for the American economy and its workers. The partnership with Reliance is seen as a key part of the administration’s strategy to attract global capital.
The refinery is expected to bring significant economic growth to South Texas, creating thousands of new positions for local residents. Trump claimed the facility would be the “cleanest refinery in the world,” focusing on high-efficiency production methods. The project is designed to strengthen the Port of Brownsville’s position as a global hub.
Trump concluded his statement by attributing the success of the deal to his administration’s work in cutting taxes and streamlining the permit process. He framed the announcement as a clear example of “American Energy Dominance” in action. The President remains committed to a policy that puts the needs of American workers first.
