Putin’s Manifesto for a New World Order Unveiled Before SCO Summit

Date:

President Vladimir Putin has effectively unveiled a manifesto for a new world order in his statements preceding the SCO Summit. This declaration of principles outlines a clear vision for a global system that challenges the post-Cold War status quo, with the SCO and BRICS as its primary agents.
The first principle of this manifesto is a total rejection of “discriminatory sanctions” as a tool of statecraft, arguing they illegitimately hinder global socioeconomic development. Putin champions a system based on fair competition and international law.
The second principle is the primacy of sovereign partnerships, exemplified by the “unprecedented level” of the Russia-China relationship. This model emphasizes deep economic integration, mutual respect, and a unified stance against external pressures, including the strategic abandonment of the US dollar in trade.
The ultimate aim of the manifesto is the establishment of a “fairer, multipolar world order.” This involves creating new security structures, like an “indivisible security” architecture for Eurasia, and empowering non-Western institutions to play a leading role in global governance, coordinated through the United Nations.
